Dana Hendrickson, the founder of SSL VPN Central, shares his perspectives on

New Best Practices Service

In March we start a new monthly series of "best practices" columns that will focus on the practical application of products, technologies and services in SSL-based access networks. Each column will address a single topic and be written by an author with in-depth knowledge of security policy and solution implementations. Our initial column will set out a clear series of implementation steps for web applications and examine the choices faced in balancing security and user productivity. This column will be available by March 15.

On-line Survey #1: Current SSL VPN Usage Patterns

SSL VPN Central conducts short surveys for two primary reasons. First, we want to encourage SSL VPN Central users to share their experiences. Anyone who has worked with an SSL-based remote access network has gained valuable insights and knowledge beneficial to others. Sharing promotes better security policies, solution requirements, product/service selection, deployments and operations. Also, your input helps us identify important topics we can cover in greater depth on SSL VPN Central

We are currently conducting a survey to determine how SSL and IPSec VPNs are being used together in remote access networks. View survey

As an extra incentive for you to share your experiences with other users of SSL VPN Central, the Breakaway Security Group will make a donation to Habitat for Humanity. each time an organization submits a completed survey.
